How to Report Players & Report Abuse Penalties
How to Report a Player
If you see someone breaking the rules or making the server worse for others, you can report them directly in-game.
The /report Command
Use the following format in chat:
/report [PlayerName] [Reason]
Example:
/report Steve123 Using fly hacks in PvP
A moderator will review your report and get back to you as soon as possible.
Valid Reasons to Report
Hacking / Cheating
- Fly, speed, kill aura, x-ray, or any unauthorized client modifications
- Using glitches to duplicate items or bypass protections
Slurs, Hate Speech, & Harassment
- Racist, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic language
- Targeted harassment, doxxing threats, or persistent bullying
- Sending slurs in chat, signs, books, or renamed items
Inappropriate Builds (NSFW)
- Building genitalia, hate symbols, or sexually explicit structures
- Sign spam with offensive or NSFW content
- If you are unsure whether something crosses the line, report it and let staff decide
Scamming & Exploits
- Failing to hold up your end of a trade after receiving payment
- Abusing plugin bugs for personal gain
- Luring players into traps in non-PvP zones
Griefing (Outside Wildcard Zones)
- Destroying or modifying builds in the Overworld without permission
- Stealing from chests in protected areas
- Note: The End and Nether are wildcard zones — PvP and theft are allowed there
Tips for a Good Report
- Be specific — "flying" is better than "hacking"
- Include context — mention where it happened and when
- Stay calm — write the facts, not an essay about how mad you are
- Do not spam reports — one report is enough; moderators see them all
What Happens Next
- A moderator will investigate as soon as they are available
- You may be contacted for more details if needed
- Outcomes range from a warning to a temporary or permanent ban, depending on severity and history
- False reports can result in punishment, so make sure your report is honest
Report System Abuse & Penalties
If you abuse the /report system, there are consequences. This section outlines what counts as report abuse and what punishments you can expect.
What Counts as Report Abuse
- False reports — filing a report against someone who did nothing wrong to get them in trouble
- Spam reports — repeatedly reporting the same player for the same issue after it has been resolved
- Revenge reports — reporting someone out of spite because you lost a fight, got arrested, or had a personal disagreement
- Joke reports — using /report as a prank or meme
- No evidence reports — making serious claims (hacking, exploits, etc.) with no proof and refusing to provide context when asked
- Report bombing — coordinating with others to mass-report a single player to trigger an automatic ban or investigation
Punishment Scale
Abuse of the report system wastes staff time and undermines trust. Penalties escalate based on severity and history:
| Offense | Penalty |
|---|---|
| First offense (minor) | Verbal warning from staff |
| First offense (serious false claim) | 24-hour mute or temporary suspension from /report |
| Repeat offender | 7-day suspension from /report |
| Chronic abuse or report bombing | 30-day ban from the server |
| Extreme cases (harassment campaigns, framing players) | Permanent ban |
Additional Consequences
- Reports from repeat abusers may be ignored or deprioritized, meaning real issues you file later might not get reviewed quickly
- If your false report caused a wrongful punishment for another player, staff may reverse your own ban/mute history as compensation
- Report abuse may be noted in your player record and considered during ban appeals
What Is NOT Abuse
- Reporting someone and being wrong (in good faith) — mistakes happen, just be honest
- Following up on an old report if new evidence comes up
- Reporting staff if you genuinely believe they are breaking rules — staff are held to the same standard as players
Appeal a Report Abuse Penalty
If you believe you were wrongly punished for report abuse, you can appeal through the standard Ban Appeals process. Explain your side and provide any relevant screenshots or context.
Play fair. Reports exist to keep the server safe — not to settle personal scores.
